International Treasure House Ministries was created to share God’s love through rescuing and equipping orphans and vulnerable children. We do this through running a scholarship program, as well as a Christ centered rescue, education and life-skills facility outside of Nairobi, Kenya. We provide a safe haven for children who have suffered abandonment, abuse, child marriage, teenage pregnancy, and trafficking.
God has given us a big dream! It is not a dream for personal gain, but a dream that will positively impact the lives of numerous children. We are excited about it, and we hope that you will be too!
After several years of paying rent, we are now ready to become more self-sustainable. It is time to start developing the Acacia Ranch- the 2 acres owned by ITHM. After prayer and reflection on our part, God has given us a plan, which we are excited to share with you, our ITHM family.
Build our own Treasure House, which will be a large dorm into which we can move all our children. We currently pay rent on the two Treasure Houses, which are very crowded and without electricity 40% of the time. Our new dorm will have solar power, which is much more reliable than the only electric company in the country, and space for 35 children and house moms.
Add an additional acre of land, which will give us more room for livestock, which is multiplying. As our goats, chickens and rabbits increase in number, along with the addition of a cow and a pig, we need space to grow animal feed, food for our children and have a grazing area. UPDATE: We have purchased 1/2 acre so far.
Create a spacious playground where the children can continue to be children, where they can run, laugh, and play.
